CATTLEMAN'S STEAKHOUSE.

SAC CITY, IA

During the spring 2023 semester I was enrolled in an internship-like class, where I had to do some work for a person, company, or business outside of class that would help me further my experience in working with clients, and creating for other people. I came into contact with Chef Geoffrey through a friend that is enrolled in the culinary arts program at ICCC. Together we discussed his vision for his restaurant, Cattleman's Steakhouse.

Working with Chef Geoffrey and with his staff at Cattleman's Steakhouse really did push me out of my comfort zone, and when I first arrived I felt awkward working with a new subject matter in an environment I had never been too before. However, I soon felt very comfortable started to get the hang of it very fast. Chef Geoffrey and his staff were very nice and considerate towards me, and it made the entire environment feel very warm and welcoming. The night went very fast, and I had a lot of fun learning about all the dishes they serve and taking some amazing images. Along with this, he gave me and amazing opportunity to gain some experience in an area of photography I had not yet experienced. While it was a bit of a challenge, I feel that I was able to take some amazing images for this restaurant, and am very excited to continue working with them in the future.
